Koa grew up in the regional South Australian town of Tanunda in the heart of the Barossa wine region before moving to Adelaide in his late teenage years to complete a masters degree in business and commerce from Flinders University.
It was during this time that Koa found his calling and love for the gaming industry, working part time as a blackjack and roulette dealer to support his studies at the Adelaide Casino, formerly Sky City Casino.
After completing his university’s studies in 1998 Koa continued to develop his career with the Adelaide Casino staying on for several more years and earning the promotions from dealer, to pit boss, pit boss to floor manager and then floor manager to gaming operations manager where he oversaw the entire casino’s gaming operations. After serving in a senior role with the Adelaide Casino for several years, Koa went on to truly solidify the name he had made for himself in the Australian gaming industry by taking on senior management positions with several prominent national gaming organisations including Crown Casino (Melbourne, Australia), Sportsbet.com, Australia’s largest online sports betting platform, and most recently Robwaterhouse.com.
Over the years Koa’s career in the gaming industry has transitioned from gaming in the physical world to the online and digital world where he has become a bonafide expert and advocate for new and emerging technologies. Koa’s career path and long term interest in blockchain technology have uniquely placed him at the forefront of online gambling in Australia.

When Koa isn’t busy developing CrikeyCasinos.com. He is an avid poker player, red wine enthusiast, cryptocurrency investor and huge fan of Aussie Rules (Australian Football League) where he is a passionate supporter of his local team, the Adelaide Crows.

Sophie grew up in Adelaide, South Australia and is a passionate traveller, sports fan and marketing professional. Sophie speaks “marketing” like it’s her native language and she has a degree in marketing and communications from the prestigious Adelaide University – which she completed with high distinction.
After completing her university studies, Sophie took the opportunity to travel and spent several years abroad developing her career, most notably in Europe and the Middle East where she worked with some major international organisation such as Harrods in London and Dnata in Dubai.
Since returning to Australia in 2008, Sophie has continued to prove herself as an expertly effective communicator taking on marketing and public relations roles with some of Australia’s most prominent sporting brands such as Netball Australia, the South Australian Cricket Association and Sportsbet.com – Where Koa Fisher and Sophie Martin first met and worked together.
Sophie’s undeniable talent for for marketing and communications combined with her wealth of knowledge and experience make her the perfect person to help Koa bring Crikey Casinos to life.
When Sophie isn’t working hard behind the scenes here at Crikey Casino, she is usually playing netball, travelling, and just living her life to the fullest. Sophie has visited over 35 countries on 4 different continents -and she’s only just getting started!
